All of the available puppies from Josie’s first litter have gone to their homes! We are unsure when the next litter will be at this time. Stay tuned for updates!

We accept applications from people all around the country. If you don’t live within driving distance to us by Indianapolis, we can meet at various airports/locations in Ohio and Indiana.

To raise the healthiest puppies possible, we only raise puppies out of dogs who have passed all of their OFA Hip, Elbow, Heart and Eye clearances as well as a UC Davis Golden Retriever Health Panel. We strive to produce puppies who are not only healthy, but also conformationally correct with wonderful temperaments.

We believe it is important to show our dogs for further verification of the quality and type we aim to produce. It is not only a competition, but more importantly, it is a critical evaluation process where the dogs are assessed against the breed standard. They are assessed for physical/mental health, the quality of their movement (to assess for the absence of structural issues), general attitude for a future companion, etc. While not every puppy will be a show dog, the ones who enter a pet home will still carry the breeds best traits and genetic health standards for a healthy, well-adjusted family member.

All puppies will go home with their first shots, deworming, a jumpstart kit and a full veterinary physical exam. We will also provide an outline with the next steps for veterinary care upon going home. All puppies are raised in our home where they receive constant socialization and exposure to a daily routine. We also utilize a designated potty area of pine pellets to jumpstart the potty training process. By doing so, potty training is often much faster and less stressful when they get to their new home!

All puppies are adopted with AKC Limited Registration papers. A dog with limited registration papers cannot produce AKC registered offspring or show in AKC Conformation events. However, they can be shown in AKC performance events such as obedience, agility and dock diving.

All puppies must have adoption fees paid for in full with all applications, agreements and contracts approved/signed before leaving the custody of Skyland Golden Retrievers.
